2024: A Year of Growth and Unforgettable Experiences

As a massage therapist based in Istanbul, 2024 has been a transformative year for me. It marked a period where I honed my skills, embraced a truly professional outlook, and deepened my commitment to delivering the highest quality service to my clients. This year wasn’t just about professional growth; it was also filled with incredible travels and meaningful moments that I’ll cherish forever.

One of the highlights of 2024 was my second visit to Cannes in May, coinciding with the Cannes Film Festival. Experiencing the city’s vibrant atmosphere during this globally celebrated event was truly magical. I even had the chance to see one of my favorite directors, David Cronenberg, in person—a surreal moment for a cinephile like me.
After Cannes, I traveled to Milan, a city I was visiting for the first time. I fell in love with its energy, architecture, and, of course, its people. Spending time there was a delightful experience, and it deepened my appreciation for Italian culture.

June brought a long-awaited dream to life as I visited Gran Canaria. For years, I had been fascinated by the Canary Islands, and this year, I finally made it happen. I rented a home and spent an entire month immersing myself in the island’s unique atmosphere while maintaining my daily routines of fitness and healthy eating. The extended stay allowed me to truly explore Gran Canaria and its beautiful surroundings.
 
On my way back, I spent four days in Barcelona—a city I hadn’t seen in ten years. While it felt more touristy than I remembered, it still retained its charm as one of Europe’s most captivating destinations.

The summer months back in Istanbul were equally fulfilling. I focused on my work as a massage therapist and enjoyed the vibrant energy of the city. My September trip to Marseille added another first to the year. This lively port city left a lasting impression with its unique character, and I even managed to sneak in a day by the sea before autumn arrived.
Of course, one of the hardest parts of 2024 was spending a month away from my beloved cat, Linda. While I explored Gran Canaria, Linda enjoyed her own “vacation” with my family in Bodrum, where she had plenty of fresh air and space to roam. Reuniting with her later in the year was one of my happiest moments.

As the year draws to a close, I feel immense gratitude for all the growth, experiences, and connections I’ve had. Balancing work, travel, and personal development has made 2024 a truly unforgettable year. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue providing professional massage therapy services in Istanbul and making a positive impact on the lives of my clients.
